The Witcher

2019 – 

Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.

For season 2 (released in 2021), filming took place at various locations across Surrey, including, Chobham Common, Bourne Wood, the woodlands of Milton Gore and Redlands Wood near Dorking.

The King’s Man

2021

In the early years of the 20th century, the Kingsman agency is formed to stand against a cabal plotting a war to wipe out millions.

Black Widow

2021 – 

Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises.

Hankley Common, in Elstead, was used for a helicopter scene and a Russian farmstead set build.

Wonder Woman 1984

2020 – 

Diana (Gal Gadot), the immortal Amazon warrior, must contend with a work colleague and businessman, whose desire for extreme wealth sends the world down a path of destruction, after an ancient artifact that grants wishes goes missing.

The set for the Black Gold Cooperative offices, run by Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) were filmed at the former Legal & General HQ building, in Kingswood, Surrey. The production spent approximately 8 weeks on site.

Cursed

2020

A teenage sorceress named Nimue encounters a young Arthur on her quest to find a powerful and ancient sword.

A large medieval village set was constructed on Mod land, in Deepcut, near Camberley. The Netflix production spent approximately 40 weeks at the Deepcut site.

Scenes were also filmed at Frensham Little Pond, the cascade waterfall at Virginia Water, and the ruins of Waverley Abbey.

The Old Guard

2020

A covert team of immortal mercenaries are suddenly exposed and must now fight to keep their identity a secret just as an unexpected new member is discovered.

Copley’s house (Chiwetel Ejiofor) is The Homewood, a modernist house in Surrey, owned by the National Trust.

The Good Liar

The story follows con artist Roy Courtnay (Sir Ian McKellen) who meets widowed Betty McLeish (Dame Helen Mirren) on-line. While Roy has plans of his own, he soon finds himself in a game of cat and mouse.

 A number of external scenes took place on a residential street in Fetcham, Surrey.

When a volcano on Isla Nublar threatens to endanger the existence of the dinosaurs on the island, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) set out on a mission to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from extinction.

Bourne Wood, in Farnham, features as the woodland location where Owen (Chris Pratt) is building his cabin.

2017

The awakening of an ancient Egyptian Princess who holds dark powers, seeks vengeance for what should have been hers.

The English Heritage ruins of Waverley Abbey and the grounds of Waverley Abbey House, in Farnham, were featured in this Tom Cruise blockbuster. An ambulance driving scene also took place at Winterfold Forest.

Two teenagers make a connection and embark on a wild road trip together.
Approximately 7 weeks of filming took place within Surrey for this Channel 4 series, including various commercial and residential locations within Camberley, Guildford, Thames Ditton, Virginia Water, Windlesham, Chertsey and Knaphill.

An adaptation of the fairy-tale about a prince that is turned into a beast, who must find a way for Belle to fall in love with him, in order to break the spell.

Jelly’s Hollow at Winterfold Forest was used for scenes in the dark forest. Scenes were also shot at Shepperton Studios.

The Crown

2016 – 

Follows the political rivalries and romance of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign and the events that shaped the second half of the 20th century.
3 days of filming took place at Loseley Park in Guildford – doubled as Broadlands in Hampshire. Which features a shooting scene on the hill overlooking the House, a dinner party in the Great Hall and Mountbatten on the telephone in the Drawing Room.

Alice Through the Looking Glass

Alice returns to the magical Wonderland (or otherwise known, Underland), where she must travel back in time to save the Mad Hatter, and to stop the Red Queen.

Set in the 1960’s, Legend is a true story of London’s infamous twin gangsters,

Ronnie and Reggie Kray and their rise in the criminal underworld.

The Old Crown Court and Cells at the former Surrey County Hall in Kingston, played an

important role in this portrayal of the Kray twins.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron, features as part of phase two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films franchise. The Avengers must, once again, come together to save the world from destruction, in this action-packed sequel.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Set in 19th Century England, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, follows five sisters dealing with pressures of marriage, who find themselves fighting up against a growing population of zombies.
The National Trust’s Frensham Little Pond, near Farnham, created the perfect setting for a zombie battlefield in this modern adaptation of the Jane Austen classic.

Kingsman: The Secret Service

2014

Kingsman: The Secret Service; a spy organisation who recruit a teenage boy in trouble, to take on the agency’s series of challenging training tasks. The boy’s skills are put to the test, when a villain threatens to destroy the world as we know it.

Colin Firth’s character (Harry Hart), features in an intense fight scene, filmed in the MoD owned Garrison church of St Barbara’s, in Deepcut.

Top London cop, Nicholas Angel, is reassigned to a quaint English village in Somerset, where he is paired with his half-witted partner, Danny Butterman. Nicholas suspects something sinister is happening amongst the residents of the village, after a series of ‘accidents’ keep unfolding before them. Angel and Butterman set out to uncover the truth behind their suspicions.

Waverley Abbey, in Farnham, can be spotted in the final chase scene of this Simon Pegg classic.

The Holiday

2006

Two women, unlucky in love, decide to swap homes with each other over the festive period. Little do they know that they are both about to meet the man of their dreams.

Surrey’s quintessentially English Village of Shere, provided the perfect setting for the home of Kate Winslet’s character, Iris. Her cosy cottage was custom built for the production, located amongst the stunning countryside (sadly this cottage no longer exists, as it was a set specifically built for the film). A scene between Cameron Diaz and Jude Law took place at The White Horse Pub, in Shere Village, and the market town of Godalming can also be spotted in several scenes, including the local village shop scene.

2006

Recently promoted to 00 status, with a licence to kill, James Bond takes on his first mission. He must defeat a weapons dealer in a high stakes game of poker at Casino Royale. 007 will soon discover the threat of the organisation behind his opponent.
The famous Dunsfold Park (the home of Top Gear), doubled as Miami International Airport for this James Bond blockbuster.

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason

2004

Following the first film ‘Bridget Jones Diary’, the story picks up from Bridget Jones failing relationship with Mark Darcy. Bridget seeks an escape, and travels to Thailand on a work trip, with her past-love, Daniel Cleaver, which soon turns into the worst holiday of her life. Will Mark be there to save her this time?
The final scenes of the film, feature St James’ Church, in the picturesque village of Shere.

Epsom Downs racecourse was featured as the arrivals hall at Heathrow airport. While Sandown Park, in Esher, was transformed into Milwaukee International Airport.

Maximus, a powerful Roman general, is betrayed when his family is murdered by the emperor’s power-hungry son, Commodus. He must fight his way through the Gladiator games, where he will seek his revenge on Commodus.
Forestry England’s, Bourne Wood, can be seen in all it’s glory during the opening battle scene.       

This soon set the trend for filming at Bourne Wood, which has become a much sought-after pine wood location.
